Welcome Note

Creativity is an ongoing process in our Nation. Many people from the rural to the urban areas come up with creative works which the Country and the Copyright Society of Tanzania needs to appreciate them. These creative works may range from music, films, sculptures, paintings, carvings and literary works among others.

The Copyright Society of Tanzania (COSOTA) is established under section 46 of the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act No.7/1999.

COSOTA is under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investments.
